Lunch and Learn Workshop
October 23, 2026

Workshop Overview

AI is changing how nonprofits write, fundraise, and communicate, but knowing where to start and how to use it responsibly can feel overwhelming. This hands-on lunch and learn, built around what local nonprofit leaders told us they need, will help you move from curious to confident.

*Most of the hour is hands-on. You’ll practice on your own device and leave with skills you can use the same afternoon.

What You’ll Learn

• Why every nonprofit needs an AI policy, and where to find templates to start yours

• What today's free and paid AI tools offer, and which fits your organization

• How to respond when someone asks whether using AI is "cheating"

• How to have a real conversation with AI, moving beyond one-line prompts, on grant writing, donor communications, and marketing tasks

What to Bring:

• A fully charged laptop

• At least one free AI account, already set up. Any tool works, such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or Claude. A paid account is even better, and a second account lets you compare the results.

• A real task, like a grant section, donor thank-you letter, or social media post
